Nigerians won’t elect a ghost president in 2023 – Atiku to Tinubu

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as an absent candidate.

In a statement on Wednesday by his spokesman, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said the electorates won’t vote for a “ghost President” come 2023.

The former vice president accused Tinubu of shying away from public scrutiny and using proxies to answer questions only contenders should give answers to.

The statement came on the heels of the former Lagos governor’s town hall meeting with the Organized Private Sector (OPS).

Atiku noted how Tinubu failed to honour the Lagos Chamber of Commerce Industry (LCCI) invitation but “organized his own” at the same venue of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference he did not attend.

He added; “His aides spoke more than he did at the event, an indication that he didn’t even need to be there in the first place.

“Clearly Tinubu plans to run a proxy government in the unfortunate event that he wins the presidential election”.
