Neymar: I want to stay at PSG next season

In the wake of Kylian Mbappe’s contract extension, Neymar has stated that he has no intention of leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

PSG spent a lot of money to keep Mbappe away from Real Madrid, which has created a war of words between Ligue 1 and La Liga officials, and it’s been suggested that Neymar may be moved to help balance the books.

Indeed, according to L’Equipe, PSG is willing to let Neymar go if the appropriate deal comes up, but the 30-year-old is not interested.

Neymar has had a difficult time in Paris over the last few years. Last season, he played in 22 Ligue 1 games, the most he has appeared in throughout his career with PSG, and only the second time he has hit the 20-game threshold.

Injuries have been a major issue for him, and while he still managed 13 goals and six assists last season, there are reports that his effectiveness, and more especially, whether he warrants his hefty salaries, has been questioned.
