The World’s Happiest Countries List for 2023 has been released.
The ranking measures nations on key findings from the United Nations’ World Happiest Countries Report, based largely on the Gallup World Poll.
Finland ranked in first place for the sixth year in a row, while Denmark followed in the No. 2 spot.
Iceland took third place this year, and the U.S. made it into the top 20, ranking at No. 15.
The report determined the ranking by looking at measures of healthy life expectancy, social support in times of trouble, GDP per capita, corruption and social trust, freedom of choice and generosity from each country.
