Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu denied being a member of IPOB in court, according to the lead counsel of the Nigerian government in his case, Magaji Labaran.
The lawyer made the claim while giving an update after their court outing on Wednesday, January 19.
Kanu who is facing charges bordering on terrorism and treason, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him by the Nigerian government.
Addressing newsmen after the case was adjourned, Magaji said that one interesting fact is that Kanu is accused of being an Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) member, but he vehemently denied being a member of the proscribed group.
