Salah sets Champions League Record by scoring fastest-ever hat-trick against Rangers

Mohamed Salah, a forward for Liverpool, racked up the quickest hat-trick in Champions League history as they destroyed Rangers 7-1.

The Scottish side took the lead through Scott Arfield.

Prior to the Reds’ six additional goals, Roberto Firmino did however equalize.

Salah scored three goals in six minutes as a substitute.

Firmino got his second in the 55th minute before setting up Darwin Nunez to net his second goal in as many games.

Salah then took over, scoring the first of his three goals on 75 minutes and securing the match ball with two more ruthless finishes against the hepless Rangers defence.

Rangers conceded a seventh to Harvey Elliott that was eventually awarded by VAR.

Liverpool’s spectacular second half meant it was Rangers’ heaviest-ever defeat in a competitive match at Ibrox.

After Napoli beat Ajax 4-2 earlier in the night, Jurgen Klopp’s men need one point from their final two games away to Ajax and home to Napoli to ensure their qualification.
