The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Kaduna State has sacked Governor Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Delivering judgment via Zoom on Thursday, September 28, the panel declared that the 2023 governorship election in the state was inconclusive.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and its governorship candidate, Isa Ashiru had challenged the declaration of Sani as the winner of the March 18 gubernatorial elections.
The tribunal ordered that fresh elections be conducted in seven wards of four local government areas in the State.
Earlier, they had dismissed Governor Uba Sani’s motion to throw out the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s petition.
The Tribunal also dismissed the second preliminary objection regarding pre-hearing notice. The court ruled that Isah Ashiru fully filed his petition within the time frame and was not out of time.
