Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has revealed his favourite musician of all-time.

According to the SpaceX and Tesla CEO, the late German composer, Johann Sebastian Bach, is the greatest musician of all-time.

He described Bach as the William Shakespeare of music.

On his X handle, Musk wrote, “Johann Sebastian Bach is the Shakespeare of music. Best there ever was.”

Johann Sebastian Bach was an 18th-century German composer, keyboardist, violinist, organ expert and music director known for his prolific output across a variety of instruments and forms.

Some of his most notable works include the orchestral Brandenburg Concertos; solo instrumental works such as the Cello Suites and Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin; keyboard works such as the Goldberg Variations and The Well-Tempered Clavier; organ works such as the Schübler Chorales and the Toccata and Fugue in D minor; and choral works such as the St. Matthew Passion and the Mass in B minor.
