Elders we’re supposed to be respecting are busy disrespecting themselves – Vector

Nigerian rapper, Vector has shared his two cents on the demand for respect by elders in position of authority in the country, who claim that values are gone.

The rapper said that he observed how the same older generation who expect young Nigerians to respect them when they are already disrespecting themselves by labeling the youths unbecoming names.

Vector added that their denigrating utterances could have been pardonable if they were delivering good governance to the citizens.

He cited an instance with the former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode and explained why some persons are trolling him online.

He wrote; “It just occurred to me that presently, the elders we are supposed to be respecting are busy disrespecting themselves calling Their youth (the people’s future) all sorts of names. It could have made pardonable sense if they (the “elders” ) were truly excellent in public office.

For example, no one is dissing FFK because he looks like a fly frog on aviators on his dp. No, they diss him because he’s not a man of any of his plenty academically sound utterances. These are men of Public office representing the people they are fighting lol.”
