A father in Pakistan’s Punjab province allegedly shot and killed his daughter for refusing to delete her TikTok account, police confirmed on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in Dhok Choudrian Takht Pari, a locality in Rawalpindi district.
According to authorities, the father had repeatedly ordered his daughter to take down her TikTok profile. When she declined, he reportedly shot her dead on the spot.
Police said the suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting. An official First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, and a manhunt is underway to locate him.
Initial reports suggest the family tried to mislead investigators by claiming the incident was a suicide. However, forensic evidence gathered from the scene pointed to foul play.
The victim’s body was sent for autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation.
