Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has dismissed speculations that he endorsed the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Wike spoke on the reported endorsement during an interview with BBC Pidgin on Friday, January 20.
The governor said his comment that Obi was presidential material does not mean he endorsed the former governor of Anambra state.
He told BBC Pidgin: “If I tell Obi that he is a presidential material, does that mean an endorsement?”
CorrectNG recalls that Wike played host to the LP flagbearer in 2022, a meeting that led to speculations that he may endorse Obi.
