A show promoter identified as Alaafin Washington has narrated what prompted the US embassy to deny popular Nigerian singer, Portable, visa.
Alaafin expressed worry that the Zazuu star might never get to visit the US even in future as he said that the artiste caused his woes.
According to him, Portable insulted the immigration officer and consulate on his first day at the consulate.
This comes days after the controversial musician called him out for allegedly setting him up to have his visa application rejected.
But the promoter who showed a receipt of the money Portable sent, advised him about his character, saying if he continues like that, show promoters will run from him.
Alaafin also revealed that the ‘Clear’ singer denied knowing the people who accompanied him to the embassy.
Watch him speak below:
It was earlier reported that Portable, born, Habeeb Okikiola lamented after his visa application was rejected by the American embassy.
He called out a show promoter who made arrangements for him to attend an event in US and paid him N3 million upfront.
According to Portable, the event planner set him up and prevented his application from being granted.
He said the person sent 10 other people to the embassy on the day of his interview and and informed them that Portable is their leader.
The 11 of them who were sent by the show promoter were all denied visa, and this angered the singer who decided to cry out online.
Portable further disclosed that due to the fact he could no longer attend the show, the organisers are demanding N20 million for damages.
He accused the promoter of trying to ruin his career and rip him off with the well planned sabotage.
In a video making the rounds online, he narrated how a letter was sent to his family home and it was stated that he would be expected to pay N2m every month till the N20 million has been paid in full.
