UI lecturer Debunks report that he gave students $100 dollars for attending his first Lectures

Dr. Bisi Olawuyi, a lecturer with University of Ibadan reacts to reports that he gave 10 of his students 100 dollars each for attending his first lectures.

Earlier, reports made rounds that the lecturer had gifted ten of his students the dollar notes for being the first students to attend his class following the suspension of ASUU strike.

Dr. Bisi Olawuyi, a lecturer with University of Ibadan has taken to his social media page to refute the viral reports that he gave 10 of his students 100 dollars each for attending his first class.

On Tuesday morning, reports made rounds that the lecturer had gifted ten of his students the dollar notes for being the first students to attend his class following the suspension of ASUU strike.

Pictures of the dollar notes he had supposedly given them went viral, as students trooped to the lecturer’s page in droves to solicit for theirs.

It was also predicted that the attendance in the Lecturer’s next class would be massive.

However, the lecturer has dismissed the claim as false and has advised Nigerians to disregard it.

The Lecturer wrote:

“My attention has been drawn to a tweet circulating that I gave $100 each to 10 students. This is not in any way true. Please kindly disregard. Thank you.”
