President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined millions of users on the popular social media app Threads.
Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s billionaire founder and CEO, launched Threads to compete with Elon Musk’s Twitter.
In the first seven hours after its release, the new app received over 10 million sign-ups.
In his first post on Threads, President Tinubu wrote:
My fellow Tailors, Idan has landed.
Others in Nigeria, Adekunle Gold, Blaqbonez, Chike, Sean Tizzle, Maleek Berry, YCEE, Dremo, Bayani, and Darey Art Alade are among the notable Nigerians who have signed up for Threads.
Alexx Ekubo, Beverly Naya, Ruth Kadiri, and Ronke Odusanya are among the others.
Skitmakers Mr Macaroni, Crazeclown, and Ebuka, a TV host, have also joined the platform.
Film producers Pheelz and Samklef are among those on the app, as are social media influencers Tunde Ednut, Jeff Okoroafor via Opinion Nigeria, and Linda Ikeji, as well as health influencer Aproko Doctor.
