Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has promised Nigerians that the country will enjoy full and uninterrupted electricity before the end of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, Adelabu highlighted that several major reforms, infrastructure upgrades, and new policy frameworks are already in motion to make this goal a reality. The minister said the administration is committed to ending the decades-long challenges of power outages, weak distribution networks, and energy theft.

“We are not just aiming for more megawatts. We are targeting consistent, stable, and affordable electricity that powers homes and industries without interruption,” Adelabu said.

This announcement comes as part of Tinubu’s wider push to revamp Nigeria’s infrastructure, especially in energy and transportation. Critics, however, remain skeptical given the sector’s long history of failed promises and uncompleted projects.

EmeraldLoaded will continue tracking developments around this pledge and provide updates on key milestones, including power generation stats, DISCO performance reports, and community feedback.
