Former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir el-Rufai, says the President Bola Tinubu administration is the “worst and most corrupt” in Nigeria’s history.
El-Rufai stated this during an interview with journalists in Katsina state on Monday, April 14.
He described the government as the most intolerant since Nigeria returned to civil rule in 1999.
“This is the worst federal government in Nigerian history and all the indices have shown it. This is the most corrupt and most intolerant government in Nigeria. This is the most lying government that depends on false propaganda.”
He accused the federal government of spreading falsehoods about the country’s security situation.
“They lied that security has improved in Nigeria. They read out numbers of bandits k!lled except the ones we know are the leading bandits. In Kaduna, Dogo Gide is still around, Mallam Abba, the Boko Haram terrorist, is still alive. Bello Turji is still around but every day, they announce names of people that are bandits’ leaders that they have k!lled and security has improved.”
El-Rufai said insecurity persists in many parts of the country because the federal government has failed to address the root causes of the crisis.
“How many local governments are under the occupation of bandits in Katsina state? How many are occupied by bandits in Zamfara state and some parts of Sokoto state? And because you are in government you think that nothing would happen?”
