[Sport] Premier League: Latest statement on results of COVID-19 tests

The Premier League has confirmed two positive cases in their latest tests carried between Monday 5 April and Sunday 11 April.

As part of the regulations, the two players will self-isolate for a period of 10 days. 

In a statement, the Premier League said; 

“The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 5 April and Sunday 11 April, across two rounds of testing, 2,940 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19,”

“Of these, there were two new positive tests,”

No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public on a weekly basis.
