Arsenal central midfielder Mattero Guendouzi will remain in the German capital for longer than it was expected.
According to Hertha sources that are connected to the influential Fabrizio Romano, the club has made a decision to keep the 21-year-old Frenchman, despite other reports that claimed the club cannot afford to change the loan deal to a permanent transfer for £29m.
“Mattéo Guendouzi is *not* coming back to Arsenal in January. Hertha Berlin want to keep him until the end of the season,” Romano posted without further details of any agreement with Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal welcome London neighbours Crystal Palace in the league this weekend, where Mikel Arteta’s side could mark five straight wins in all competitions.
