Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea may be loaned out ahead of the 2021-22 season, according to reports.
The 30-year-old was in goal for his team’s Europa League match against Granada on Thursday night, but he seems to have fallen behind Dean Henderson in the Old Trafford pecking order.
Henderson is expected to start against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday, with De Gea relegated to the bench.
The Spain international has been linked with a move away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side, but his lucrative deal at Old Trafford has more than two years left on it.
According to ESPN, Man United is unlikely to find a buyer for De Gea in the upcoming transfer market and could opt to loan him out for the 2021-22 season.
In total, the former Atletico Madrid youngster has made 435 appearances for the 20-time English champions, including 30 appearances this season.
