Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has apologized for describing the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano as a “training pitch”.
Klopp made the comments before the first leg of their quarter-final clash against Real Madrid last week.
The Reds went on to lose 3-1 to Zinedine Zidane’s men.
Ahead of the second leg on Wednesday, Klopp has now said sorry, but wondered why there was so much fuss about his remarks.
“People have made so much noise about that thing.
“If they think that [Di Stefano] is the stadium they want to play at, that is completely fine for me.
“They play there the whole season. I know the situation, that they are renovating [the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu].
“That’s all fine. But making a story out of what I said is a real joke to be honest.
“If somebody thought I was disrespectful, I am sorry,” Klopp told RMC Sport.
