A man has taken to social media to share his thoughts on why ace rapper, Olamide is not being international celebrated like his colleagues, Wizkid and Burna Boy.
The man with Twitter username @Hardmike01 opined that the rap artiste is yet to attain legendary status because he is still singing street-level songs.
According to him, tracks like Portable’s ‘Zazuu Zeh’ is one of the reasons multi-award winning Olamide is yet to become a legend in the game.
He wrote; ”Songs like Zazu is stopping Olamide from being a Legend”
However, his post caused divided opinions amongst music lovers and fans of the artiste.
@Pentroi2; Olamide is known to be the voice of the street… He has never done anything short of that. He wallows in dirts and mud with the street. I guess, if you think he’s not a legend yet because he’s been promoting street … I’m sure, he doesn’t want to be less of himself gaan.
@Ojo_Omopariola; If songs like zazu stops him from being a legend but help him raise upcoming artists from the trenches he will still end up as a legend
@Rhebhek; This statement isn’t totally true cause . Bado is a Legend and that’s on Period.
@EwuosoOlusesi; If @Olamide isn’t a Legend then no one is in Nigeria
@Lyonkinge; worse song released last year
@chubbajnr; So as portable life don better…no be olamide you go thank?!..what’s better than empowering people so they can have a better life for themselves and their family…werey dey find legend..
