Solskjaer shares his immediate plans

Former Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed what he’ll be getting up to since leaving his office at Carrington last weekend.

As Futaa reported on Sunday, the Red Devils decided to part ways with the Norwegian manager after just one too many poor results.

The club’s media took a moment to have a ‘goodbye’ chat with the former striker. Ole was simply asked to share what he is planning to channel his energies on starting this week and the near future.

“I’ll spend some time with my family. That’s been probably the most difficult part, through the pandemic, with Norway being open and here being closed, my family moved back to Norway and the young one, he loves it back there, so we’ve lived apart,” Ole told United’s media.

“So, I’ll spend some time with them. Then, I’ll watch the team of course and hopefully, the next manager comes in and I want to support him. I want him to be successful, hopefully I’ve laid the foundations for that to happen because I know I’m good at what I’m doing.

“I’m one hundred per cent sure to create a football environment, that’s where I’m good at and at some point, I’ll probably be back [working in football].”

Meanwhile, the club is linked with one of the brightest coaches in Europe. His name is Erik ten Hag of Ajax Amsterdam.

For now, United are preparing to take on Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League.
