Rapper, AKA pleads with Elon Musk to help South Africa with its electricity crisis

Ace rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, professionally known as AKA, has called on Tesla founder, Elon Musk for an urgent intervention in the electricity crisis South Africa is facing.

The country has been experiencing load-shedding for sometime, but it became too much to bear for the artiste when the power company implemented stage 6 load-shedding from 4pm until 10pm on Tuesday, June 28.

AKA, then took to his Twitter account on Tuesday night and appealed to Musk, who is also a South African to help his home country by sharing any solutions he may have for the energy crisis.

AKA wrote; “Excuse me sir @elonmusk. I cannot for the life of me understand why the government hasn’t approached you to come help us out with this electricity crisis, but is there any chance you could perhaps do us a solid, you know, with you being born here and all.”

In a separate tweet the rap star wrote; “Please @elonmusk. I know you have a solution for load-shedding. Do it for your country, your original one.”

51-year-old Elon Musk was born in South Africa but emigrated to Canada when he was 17 years old.
