”Putin, let there be peace” – Nigerians stage protest in Abuja over Russia-Ukraine crisis

Nigerian protesters on Monday, stormed the Russian Embassy in the Federal Capital Territory to call for an end to the invasion of Ukraine.

Recall that last week, Russian military launched an attack against Ukraine.

Taking to the streets of Abuja, Nigerians who have loved ones in Ukraine, expressed displeasure at the development.

They carried placards with different inscriptions that read; “Putin, let there be peace”“We are parents of Nigerians trapped in Ukraine”.

The protesters, which include parents, friends, and loved ones also wore T-shirts with the emblem “Stop the war”.

Some persons who spoke, lamented the horrific reports they’ve been receiving about their loved ones being prevented from fleeing Ukraine to neighbouring European countries.
