Civil Servants working at the National Assembly and National Assembly Service Commission on Monday stormed the complex to protest non-payment of allowances and arrears.
They blocked the main entrance gate and prevented cars from leaving or entering the compound, The Nation reports.
It may be recalled that the workers, had warned on June 3rd of their plan to embark on an indefinite strike on Monday, June 6.
The NASS staff under the umbrella of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) accused the management of reneging on a Memorandum of Understanding to fully implement the revised condition of service and the training and re-Training of staff.
They are also asking for the payment of arrears of Minimum wage, and vowed that the strike will be total and indefinite.
