Manchester United makes shocking decision to sack Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United, the Premier League club, announced on Monday that it has dismissed Erik ten Hag from his role as manager.
Ten Hag has departed from his role as Manchester United’s first-team manager. Appointed in April 2022, he guided the club to two domestic trophies: the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
“We thank Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well in the future.
“Ruud van Nistelrooy will assume the role of interim head coach, supported by the existing coaching staff, while the search for a permanent head coach is underway,” the statement said.
