Winner of Big Brother Naija season five, Olamilekan Agbeleshe aka Laycon has taken to social media to express worry over the attitude of federal government towards the ongoing ASUU strike.
The reality TV star, in a Twitter post, wondered why the government chose to dwell on the forthcoming 2023 general elections instead of finding a lasting solution to the strike.

Laycon said he is really scared that Universities have been closed for the past few months yet, there is not enough interest on the part of relevant authorities.
He wrote; ”I’m scared ooo, I’m really scared. What kind of government is this !!! Universities are closed, they have been closed for months and this mandem are focused on elections alone. 🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️”

In reaction, @OluwatayoRhoda said; Laycon you can also contribute to the economy by helping the government just the way we help you win the show. T for thanks.
@okwudiriken; ASUU and its drama since 1999 to 2020. It’s a perennial thing. Every government will collect.
@engrsimms; Laycon thanks for this wonderful observation … However, we need to be more aggressive in advocating for PVC Registration and Collection amongst young people in this country. I know you do it a lot , we need more of it. Let’s get involved from the Grassroots, we are few there.
