Kaduna Councillor apprehended on his way to deliver AK-47 to bandits

The Kaduna state police command have arrested Abdul Adamu Kinkiba, a Kaduna local government councillor who was allegedly heading to supply weapon to bandits.

The Councilor of Soba local government was caught with an AK-47 rifle while on his way to a forest in the state, Leadership reports.

Mobile Policemen of 47 MPF Squad arrested Kinkiba along the Galadimawa axis of Giwa LGA after they sighted him suspiciously on a motorcycle and stopped him for interrogation.

A vigilante source disclosed that the suspect claimed somebody who he refused to mention his name, gave him the gun and asked him to deliver it to another person whose name he also claimed not to know.

According to the source, Kinkiba said he was asked to stop after the bridge near the Galadimawa forest – which is known hideout for bandits – where somebody will emerge from the forest to collect the gun from him.

Chairman, Soba local government council, Engineer Suleiman Yahaya Richifa confirmed the development to Daily Trust newspaper

“I’m in serious grief about the news, please allow me to overcome my shock,” he said.
