Happie Boys, a group of former Nigerian security guards turned content creators, have reportedly been arrested in Cyprus.
The two young men identified as Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, are studying in the European nation at the expense of founder, Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.
It was gathered that Happie Boys were arraigned before a court on Tuesday, October 10, before being remanded in prison.
However, the reason for their arrest is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report. According to unconfirmed reports, they were remanded at an underground prison by authorities in Cyprus.
Meanwhile, this is coming weeks after they expressed regrets for all their allegations against Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere. The duo who accused the pastor of neglecting them, tendered an apology in a video.
Happie Boys pleaded with the clergyman to have mercy on them because things are not going well for them in their host country.
It may be recalled that Pastor Chinyere offered to fly them back to Africa to continue their studies in either Nigeria or Benin Republic, but they insisted on staying abroad.
Apart from asking the cleric for forgiveness, Happie Boys also told Nigerians that they are sorry for their actions. Speaking further, they also said they are willing to return to Nigeria to apologize to the pastor.
Happie Boys vowed not to speak ill about the popular man of God any more, and sought his blessings so that things will start working for them again.
“Even if you want us to come back to Nigeria we will do that just to get your forgiveness. Things are not going well for us. Please forgive us, find a place in your heart to forgive us. Daddy OPM please forgive us,” they said in part.
