APC Governor Sule criticizes President Tinubu, claiming his policies have led to increased hardship and suffering for Nigerians.
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has said that President Bola Tinubu was not oblivious of the pain and agony his government is inflicting on Nigerians.
Since taking over office from former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, Tinubu has taken rash decisions like the haphazard removal of subsidies on petroleum products and the floating of the naira among others.
His decisions have caused unprecedented inflation, sending the prices of goods and services through the roofs and subjecting citizens to untold hardship.
Appearing on Channels Television on Tuesday, governor Sule said Tinubu’s policies will bear good fruit, assuring that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Governor Sule noted that the President had never at any occasion told anyone it was going to be easy, but insisted that the hardship and difficulties Nigerians were experiencing was temporary.
“At the end of the day, some of these reforms being taken by Mr President, he clearly mentioned to Nigerians that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
“As far as Mr President is concerned, he is very much aware of these reforms. Nobody said they were going to be easy, they are going to be difficult. This is the hardship we will go through but it is only temporary,” Sule said.
DAILY POST reports that the twin policies of fuel subsidy removal and Naira floating in June 2023 are behind the economic hardship Nigerians are facing.
