Israel vs Iran: UK Moving Fighter Jets to Middle East

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday revealed that his country is sending more military assets and fighter jets to the Middle East to provide support in the region.

Starmer disclosed this while speaking to reporters on Saturday as he was en route to a Group of Seven meeting in Canada.

“We’re moving assets to the region, including jets, and that’s for contingency support in the region,” Starmer said.

Britain already has military fighter jets in the Middle East as part of an operation to counter threats in Syria and Iraq.
Preparations for deployment began on Friday when it became evident that the situation in the region was deteriorating.
This comes less than two days after Iran and Israel exchanged missiles and airstrikes.

Iran recently launched missile strikes targeting different parts of Israel on Friday and in the early hours of Saturday.

Similarly, the Israeli army has launched dozens of airstrikes on Iran in recent days.
