Dangote Group has announced the date for the opening of its highly anticipated refineries.
The refineries, which have been in the works for years and first of its kind in the country, are expected to begin operations later this month.
They are located in Ibeju Lekki, a sprawling suburb in Lagos state, Nigeria’s commercial hub.
A letter of invitation circulating on social media indicated that the commissioning would happen on May 22, 2023.
Players in the oil and gas sector and government officials have said the multi-billion-dollar Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Company is expected to bring solutions to Nigeria’s perennial refining issues.
