Some protesting youths on Friday stormed Dantata bridge on the popular Airport Road in the Federal Capital Territory, demanding the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The protest coincided with the nation’s Independence Day anniversary.
The protest which started in the early hours on October 1, saw protesters chanting and displaying banners, saying ‘Buhari Must Go’. They also made bonfires and blocked a part of the highway.
However, heavily armed policemen eventually dispersed the protesters. They fired tear gas canisters and gave them a hot chase.
