Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold is set to take the world by storm after being billed to perform at NPR’s Black Music month concert.
He is not the only artiste honoured with the chance to grace the stage with some of the world’s best artiste as Naira Marley has also been tapped for a performance.
The NPR concert is held annually to mark Juneteenth, an American holiday to celebrate the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans.
It is scheduled to start from the 1st of June to the 30th, with Adekunle Gold and Naira Marley sharing the NPR stage side by side acts like Usher, Monica and FKA Twigs.
Speaking on what to expect this year, Tiny Desk Series Producer, Bobby said; “We will publish eleven performances representing the past, present, and future of Black music. This is the first time each of the eleven acts will play the Tiny Desk”.
