Nigerian comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha professionally known as Basketmouth has advocated advocated for the return for the use of cowries.
He took to his Facebook page to react to the current Dollar/Naira exchange rate and expressed shock that all the Nigerian notes added together do not amount to 5 dollars.
Basketmouth requested Nigerians to add all Nigerian currency denominations from N5 to N1000 down to N5, which he claimed is less than $5.
He shared photos of Naira notes and wrote;
Join all these figures together and it’s still not up to $5 Can we just go back to using cowries already?”
