NYSC Commences Payment of ₦77,000 Monthly Allowance to Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially commenced the disbursement of the newly approved ₦77,000 monthly allowance to corps members across Nigeria.

Reports confirm that several corps members received the upgraded stipend on Wednesday, March 27, with many sharing screenshots of their credit alerts.

This development aligns with the earlier assurance given by the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, that the increased allowance would take effect this month.

However, not all corps members have received the ₦77,000 stipend, as some are still awaiting payment.

The increment follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval of a new minimum wage, which led to the upward review of corps members’ stipends from ₦33,000 to ₦77,000.
