Two Teenage boys between 15 and 17, reportedly kidnapped a 5-year-old child who was known to be their close neighbor.
The horrifying incident happened in Bukuru Gyel community of Jos-South, Plateau State. On Monday 23 October 2023.
A resident of the area, speaking anonymously to our Source Tudun Wada Broadcast, revealed the details of this tragedy. The boys are said to have taken the child when he was alone in the house and subsequently reached out to the family with a chilling ransom demand of N5million.
In desperation, the family managed to raise N1.6 million, hoping to secure the safe return of their beloved child. However, the outcome was unexpected as they received the child’s lifeless body, with allegedly missing parts. The reason for this brutality was stated as, “They killed him because he had seen their faces.”
The apprehension of these two underage suspects, who committed this act, raised questions about how they were brought to justice. Although details remain limited, it is rumored that the boys provided an account number for the ransom payment, which ultimately led the police to trace their whereabouts and apprehend them.
The underage suspects have since been arrested and are currently in the custody of the Jos-South Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as the investigation continues into this deeply distressing incident.
