Repentant Buhari supporter apologises to Goodluck for criticising him when exchange rate was N180/$1

A Nigerian man and ex supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, has openly tendered an apology to former President Goodluck Jonathan for harsh criticism in the past.

Mohammed DeeDee had lambasted Jonathan on several occasions in 2014, but one which stood out is a tweet that viral is when the exchange rate stood at N180 to $1, saying that he had destroyed Nigeria.

On Nov 20, 2014, he wrote; ”Today a Dollar is N180 and a Pound is N280 hope you have a family… This is really the transformation agenda…!! GEJ has finished Nigeria.”

But in a tweet on Monday, April 18, 2022, Mohammed who promoted Buhari’s presidency in 2015, said he is sincerely sorry for all he said at the time, adding that the exchange rate under President Buhari who is praised as Mr Integrity, is now N560 to $1.

Mohammed wrote; ”My sincere apologies to former president @GEJonathan a Dollar today is N560 and a pounds N620 under Mr integrity…”
