Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has died after a prolonged illness.
Family sources confirmed that the respected cleric passed away on Wednesday.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi was one of the country’s most influential Islamic scholars.
The funeral will be held tomorrow, Friday, in Bauchi under the leadership of Sheikh Sharif Ibrahim Saleh.
The renowned Islamic scholar, born on 29 June 1927, was 98 years old and widely known for having more than 80 children.
