FC Barcelona captain Gerard Pique has admitted that the club has multiple problems following their latest loss to Atletico Madrid.
The Catalan giants went 2-0 down to Atleti on Saturday night as goals either side of the break from Thomas Lemar and Luis Suarez condemned them to defeat in Madrid.
The Spanish defender has now called on his teammates and manager Ronald Koeman to find a solution and react immediately before the season is lost.
“It is a complicated situation. We’re suffering, I have to be honest about that. It is just not one problem, there are several. Despite this, I think we will recover.
“These are difficult times, we have not experienced them before. The atmosphere in the dressing room is very good and we want to turn it around,” Pique is quoted by Movistar +.
The loss will be a blow for boss Koeman who watched the game from the stands with the Dutchman currently under pressure from the club bosses to perform.
Pique however refused to be involved in the coach’s future saying theirs as players was to go to the pitch and give their best.
“Laporta and Koeman? As players we cannot get involved, there is little we can do. We have to go out to the pitch and do our best and there are days when it turns out well and others where it does not,” he added.
