16-year-old Nigerian becomes Guinness World Record holder

16-year-old Nigerian student, Gbenga Ezekiel, has become the Guinness World Record holder for the most skips in a minute on one leg.

Ezekiel’s 265 skips broke Rasel Islam of Bangladesh’s previous Guinness World Record of 262 skips in a minute.

The Ijapo High School student in Akure, the Ondo State capital, made history as the first athlete from the state to do so since the state’s inception in 1976.
